Muhammad Ashraf Malik, President of the SIALKOT chamber of Commerce and industry, said that the special economic zone (SEZ) are created along the Sailkot-Lahore highway, as part of the MEGA China Pakistan economic corridor (CPEC) project. Talking to APP here on Sunday, said the proposed SEZ will be developed on 1,000 acres of land and work on the project will begin soon. According to him, the SEZ will open a new era of development and provide employment in the Golden economic triangle (Sialkot, Gujranwala and Gujrat). The triangle represents the upper base of small and Medium-sized enterprises in the country, employing millions of skilled workers, and is one of the highest per capita income in the country, he said. He went further to say that the triangle has its own unique significance due to its production of high quality goods in the trade center local. The President of the SCC noted that plenty of efforts are being made to solve the problems faced by the business Community of Syalkot as a priority.
