HMD Global wants to keep its name as the "fastest smartphone brand for Android updates". Today, the company releases the Android 10 update for Nokia 3.1 Plus. This device was released with Android Oreo in October 2018 and received Android Pie in February 2019. The handset now receives the latest Android 10 update. It's amazing to see how much support an entry-level smartphone offers. Of course, the Android One program ensures at least two important Android updates for a device that is part of it.
The new firmware carries the V3. 16H software version and includes all the extras provided by Android 10. Below we can list the new navigation gestures, revised authorization controls and updates to the user interface. Interestingly, the new update increases the security patch to April 2020. It's a bit dated considering that we're going until mid-May. However, we can charge too much for a device that is certainly a low priority for HMD.
As usual, the batch update for Nokia 3.1 Plus devices is available in 38 countries. If there is no error in the following hours, it should be extended to other regions. You can check the list of eligible countries in the source link. HMD expects this update to reach 10% units today, 50% by May 16, and 100% on May 18.
