Apple is reportedly working on a new 10.8-inch iPad that will be launched in the second half of 2020, says well-known Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. According to an investor note from Macrumors GIS will be the main supplier of touch panels for the upcoming iPad.
In addition, Apple reportedly has an iPad Mini in the pipeline. It will be official in the first half of 2021. The upcoming iPad Mini will have a display between 8.5 and 9 inches in size, but details of the rest of the package are currently unknown.
Kuo adds that Apple will pursue a strategy similar to that of the iPhone SE for the aforementioned iPads. This means that Apple will equip them with powerful processors, but will cut corners to market them as affordable tablets in its range.
