Xiaomi is preparing to fix the lack of a specific smartphone in China – the Redmi Note 9. Although this device is known as Redmi Note 9 wherever it was released, it is known as Redmi 10X in China be. In addition, it is accompanied by a 5G version and even a Pro version. Today, the company announced some teaser posts in which the brand ambassador confirmed the suspicion. The teaser also confirms that the hot smartphone series will launch on May 26 at 2 p.m. local time.
Redmi 10X 4G, 10X 5G and 10X Pro 5G
The Redmi 10X will be exactly similar to the Redmi Note 9. That means that we have the MediaTek Helio G85 in tow, a fingerprint scanner mounted on the back and a quad Have camera setup. The 10X 5G, on the other hand, comes with the brand new Dimensity 820 SoC chipset from MediaTek, which promises a performance that is far superior to other mobile phones in the middle class segment. Today, the Russian website Xiamishka confirmed that there is a third variant called Redmi 10X Pro. So what are the differences between the Vanilla 5G and the Pro variant?
The report is confirmed by several renderings that compare the Redmi Note 9 aka 10X LTE, the Redmi 10X 5G and the 10X Pro. Interestingly, the Redmi 10X 5G render only shows three cameras on the back and no fingerprint scanner is visible. Maybe Xiaomi will cut a few corners to make this new handset really cheap? That would justify the lack of a fourth camera sensor. When it comes to the fingerprint scanner, Xiaomi could easily put it under the display as reports say the 10X will be equipped with an OLED display. However, we don't know how this bit affects the price of the smartphone.
The last and most interesting smartphone seems to be the Redmi 10X Pro 5G. Apparently, the fourth camera sensor of his LTE sibling is retained, but the fingerprint scanner is not visible here either. This means that the handset, like its brother, has an OLED panel. With this control panel, Xiaomi can easily install a fingerprint scanner on the display. The 10X Pro is obviously more expensive than the 10X, but should keep the same chipset with some variations of the RAM and memory variants.
Redmi 10X 5G specifications
According to recent leaks, the handset has the MediaTek Dimensty 820, consisting of 4 x Cortex A76 2.6 GHz + 4 x Cortex A55 2.0 GHz. In addition, the graphic part is secured by a Mali G57 GPU. The system-on-chip supports 5G dual carrier aggregation, 5G + 5G dual card dual standby and SA / NSA dual mode 5G.
The smartphone is supplied with a 6.57-inch OLED display with FHD + resolution and up to 8 GB of RAM with 256 GB of internal memory. In contrast to the Vanilla 10X, the 5G variants will have a water drop notch solution. The handset is powered by a 4,420 mAh battery.
As already mentioned, the three smartphones will be presented on May 26th. We will likely receive confirmation of the 10X Pro in the coming days. So stay up to date.
