After many leaks and reports, Honor finally introduced the new Honor 10X smartphone with 5G connectivity and a reasonable starting price of CNY 1,899 (around $ 268). The new handset is a mid-range smartphone, but thanks to the Kirin 820 5G SoC underneath, it offers a really remarkable performance. The handset is offered in three versions with 6 GB RAM plus 64 GB memory, 6 GB RAM and 128 GB memory and finally an upper model with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB memory. The handset also has a custom Sony IMX600y 40MP primary camera, which is accompanied by an 8MP Ultrawide and 2MP depth assistant. On the front there is a 16 megapixel shooter for selfies. One of the strangest features of the new smartphone is the debut of a brand new Magic UI 3.1 software.
Just like Huawei did with the launch of EMUI 10.1 through the release of P40 flagships, the company does the same with the release of Honor X10. The new smartphone is the great debut of the new incremental software update. If you're not aware, Magic UI is the company's dedicated software for Honor devices, but essentially it's very similar to EMUI. The company also announced that this new software version will also reach older Honor smartphones.
Magic UI 3.1
Essentially, Magic UI 3.1 retains all the extras introduced on EMUI 10.1. There isn't a big difference between the two software skins, apart from a few tweaks and design differences here and there. Honor has introduced beta builds for certain devices in recent months. Last week, the company released the first beta builds for Magic UI 3.1 for Honor 20, 20 Pro, V20 and Magic 2. Interestingly, the Honor 9X series received EMUI 10.1 during one of its closed beta versions. Apparently this was just a mistake and the company will release the right Magic UI 3.1 for 9X and 9X Pro. In addition to this statement, the company released a final list of Honor devices that were confirmed to receive the Magic UI 3.1 update.

- Honor V30
- V30 Pro
- Honor V20
- V20 Pro
- Honor 20

It is noteworthy that the above list refers to the Chinese market. When it comes to global markets, Honor still has to confirm which devices are getting the latest version.
