When it comes to software updates, mid-range and budget phones are often pushed into the background, causing a mess of unresolved issues and no new features. But TCL tries to make an explanation here by promising at least one major OS upgrade to Android 11 and two years of security updates for the mid-ranger TCL 10L and 10 Pro.
"We can confirm that both TCL 10 Pro and TCL 10L receive major operating system updates and SMR updates every two months for at least two years," a TCL spokesman was quoted by XDA developer . To remember, TCL 10 and its pro sibling were launched last month and offer decent hardware at an affordable price.
Both phones have a quad camera setup on the back, with the TCL 10L using a 48-megapixel main snapper, while the TCL 10 Pro has a 64-megapixel main camera. The TCL 10L runs on the Snapdragon 665 chip and costs $ 249. The TCL 10 Pro is based on the Snapdragon 675 chip and costs $ 449 in the United States.
