It's only been a few months since the launch of Samsung Galaxy M3 . However, the company is already preparing to launch its successor, the Galaxy M31 and M51. A new tip from 91Mobiles indicates an upcoming start, which could take place next week or early June.
Sources for 91Mobiles have indicated that Samsung could announce the Galaxy M31 by next week or early June. Interestingly, this time it is expected that in addition to the M31, a higher model of the Galaxy M51 will be the focus. However, availability could be delayed until late June or early July.
Samsung has categorized its budget and its mid-range smartphones into the country in M and A series. So far, the company has updated the lineups of each series, but the Galaxy M51 of the M series is said to be the first of its kind.
Latest leaked specifications
The source also points to the inclusion of a 64MP Samsung ISOCELL GW1 sensor in the Galaxy M31s and M51. This is not very surprising considering that last year's models had overlapping specifications. It was also added that both devices have a quad camera setup.
So far, other details of both handsets have been kept under wraps, but we can assume that they should have different internals together with AMOLED displays. However, the Galaxy M51 can include a built-in fingerprint sensor to project itself as a taller model than the M31.
Apart from that, a previous report had indicated that the 128 GB phones could arrive with storage options. However, there could also be a lower 64 GB variant. They are expected to run on One UI 2.0 based on Android 10.
All in all, this is an interesting update for Samsung because the lineup will be updated very early. There is no word from the company yet, but we can expect an official announcement to come soon.
