New RedmiBook appears on May 26 next to Redmi 10X

Vivo TWS Neo teased, will arrive alongside the Vivo X50 series

The market and the appeal for real wireless headphones are growing day by day. It started with just a few devices, but now it is almost mandatory for companies to launch their respective TWS products in order to survive in this segment. We saw some new wireless earphones from several companies this year. It is no longer a premium product as it even comes out with affordable options. In the future, we expect at least one TWS offer from each of the various market-leading smartphone manufacturers. Now it seems that Vivo is preparing to enter the affordable industry in this segment with a new pair of earphones called Vivo TWS Neo. The new hearing aids are officially launched with the Vivo X50 series.

The new hearing aids will be cheaper than the company's TWS earphones from 2019. The company has released a small teaser video enough to see what the new TWS earphones will look like. In fact, they are very similar to their processors with a stem-in-ear approach and an oval carry case. Interestingly, it will not be part of the train of the colorful TWS phones, but will be available in the color options white and dark blue. The latter color is the variant of spotted in this video. According to the teaser, the new hearing aids offer improved sound quality with low latency. But how about other advanced features like ANC? Unfortunately, when it comes to affordable headphones, there is little likelihood of a feature like this.

Interestingly, the original Vivo TWS headphones have a starting price of approx. 999 CNY (~ 140 USD). The new hearing aids may cost a little less than their predecessors, we would bet at around 899 (~ 126 USD). Unfortunately, this bit is only visible on the Vivo X50 series. The new smartphones are expected on June 1 together with the new Vivo TWS Neo.

Vivo TWS specifications:

  • Qualcomm flagship level Bluetooth chip, QCC5126.
  • 14.2 mm dynamic driver made of pure copper coil developed in Japan.
  • Bluetooth 5.0 with support for aptX and AAC decoding.
  • Dual microphones with active CVC support.
  • Capacitive sensors in both headphones.
  • Touch Volume Control.
