Microsoft’s new Chromium-based Edge browser is nimble, but has missed a few key features, including expansion sync. But the latest version of the Chrome browser finally remedies this shortcoming. The release notes for Edge (v83.0.478.37) state that extension synchronization is now available to users.
If you run the Edge browser on multiple devices, your extensions will now sync automatically if you're signed in with the same account. This applies to extensions downloaded from both Microsoft and the Chrome Store. However, you still have the option to disable extension synchronization.
To synchronize extensions in the Edge browser, tap the menu button (… ) and select Settings . Under your profile, tap on Sync and press the switch to activate the synchronization of extensions. The new feature is now live and will reach all Edge users in the next few days.
