Sony's well-received WH-1000XM3 noise canceling headphones will soon have a successor, which is not surprisingly referred to as the WH-1000XM4. According to the pictures in a list of approval databases, the upcoming Sony cans will look almost identical to their predecessors, but the internal upgrades will definitely delight fans.
According to information extracted from Sony Headphones Connect APK, WH code -1000XM3 supports multi-device connection, so users can pair the headphones with two devices at the same time. This makes it easier to switch between two devices, but audio playback is only permitted from one device at a time.
The second new feature is an automatic environment mode that detects when users are talking to someone and allows external functions to go through sound. The WH-1000XM3 headphones already offer an environmental mode, but it is useful if they start automatically on their successor.
Another important feature of the WH-1000XM4 that makes audiophiles happy is the support of DSEE Extreme. Sony's existing DSEE technology significantly improves the sound quality of compressed audio files by restoring the high-range audio removed during the compression process. We suspect that DSEE Extreme will only be an expanded version with better output.

Looks identical to the XM3.
Some can be changed (if not all) headphone settings based on your location (specified locations or your own) using the Google Maps API.
