Samsung is preparing to launch a really affordable phone for the Galaxy M series. The device is known as the Galaxy M01 and will be slightly superior to the Galaxy A01. According to recently released information, the handset in India only costs INR 9,000 (~ $ 113) for the base version with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage.
However, the technical data are not very impressive. This is understandable for a telephone in this price segment. According to the Google Play Console listing, the phone will be equipped with the Snapdragon 439 chipset. This particular chip is a bit dated, and there are better deals like the Helio G70 that could reach that price, but Samsung has chosen to keep the same chip as the Galaxy A01. Of course, the handset has 1 GB more RAM if we compare it with the budget range of the A series.
The M01 has an HD + display and is immediately delivered with Android 10. Of course, we expect One UI 2.0 to run at the top.
The Galaxy M11 will soon be available in India.
The recently released Galaxy M11 can be seen as the second device in the M series ladder. The new handset will soon reach India at INR 11,000 (~ USD 144). For this amount, users get 3 GB of RAM with 32 GB of storage. Of course there will be another variant with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage, but this will cost INR 13,000 (~ $ 171).
The Galaxy M11 has a 6.4-inch display with a hole at the top left that houses an 8MP selfie snapper. When we move backwards we have a triple camera setup consisting of 13MP, 5MP Ultrawide and 2MP depth modules. There is also a fingerprint scanner on the back for biometric authentication.
One of the main selling points of this handset is the 5,000 mAh battery with 15 W. charging. Of course it has Android 10 with OneUI 2.0 above. Additional functions include a dedicated slot for microSD cards, Bluetooth 4.2 and FM radio. The handset is sold in the color options black, metallic blue and violet.
According to the report, the Samsung Galaxy M01 and M11 are expected to be launched in India in the first week of June.
