The world of streaming platforms is growing day by day. In the past we had Netflix domination in this area, but now several other players are running to get a piece of cake. We have Amazon Prime Video and Disney + to name a few. Now this competitive segment gets another player – HBO Max.
The new platform reaches the United States today. The platform is owned by WarnerMedia, part of AT & T's entertainment offerings in the country. HBO Max is free for HBO subscribers, but if you just want the streaming platform, it costs $ 14.99 a month. Of course, there is a free 7-day trial before you make a decision.
HBO Max will integrate the HBO portfolio including original shows, films, but also offers content from other TV channels. According to the press release, the new service offers “10,000 hours of premium content” at the start. Users can easily set up up to five viewer profiles in a single account. This includes a child account with additional protection. In terms of availability, the new streaming platform is available on almost every platform, including Android, Android TV, Chromecast and more. Interestingly, the service can also be accessed via YouTube TV.
In addition to the free offer for HBO and HBO Now subscribers, users who pay for AT&T services in the United States can also use the HBO Max service for free. The new platform seems to have a good amount of content for now. Of course, the list and availability will continue to grow in the coming months. Although this is strict for the US market, we believe that other key markets will also be given the platform in the future, including European countries.
HBO Max will receive the infamous Justice League: Snyder Cut in 2021.
It is noteworthy that the new (or original) vision of the Justice League film, the infamous Snyder Cut, is available exclusively through HBO Max will be. This particular version has achieved "Myth" status for several years and several fans have asked for it, but none of them have been able to confirm the existence of such a version of the 2017 film. This month, however, the former director confirmed that the film for HBO Max will come with the original cast.
