We have seen several reports of how the current situation is affecting the sales of some big names in the technology world, but we have also seen how other companies have benefited from these times. The latest report suggests that Apple iPads have sold well, and has asked LG to ramp up LCD panel production.
Apparently, the surge in demand for iPads during the Asian pandemic has forced Apple to request more LCD panels from LG Display for these devices. Apple may have made a bad decision when it lowered its LCD display orders to LG. It seems Cupertino was expecting a drop in sales, but things didn't go as planned. Now LG has to deliver these LCD panels quickly before Apple wants to consider other companies like Sharp or BOE.
