Honor will be launching two new devices in the coming days to complete its play lineup. According to reports, the new handset will be officially launched on June 3 and will feature the moniks Honor Play 4 and Play 4 Pro. Some official banners have been unveiled today over Weibo, showing the Honor Play 4 in three different color options.
The contributions were unveiled by one of Honor's managers and reveal the handset in different colors. Unfortunately there is not much variety and the handset is delivered in the colors white, black and blue. The latter seems to have a certain gradient effect and it is the most varied color that you get if you are not a fan of conventional colors. Officially, that's about as much as we currently know about Play 4.
However, one device appeared in TENAA, and it appears to be the Honor Play 4. It has a 6.81-inch display with FHD + resolution. The panel is of the LCD type and has a hole for the 16MP selfie shooter. According to the list, it will come in many variants with 4 GB, 6 GB and even 8 GB RAM. In terms of storage, we also get sizes of 64 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB. The camera department consists of a quad camera setup that includes a 64-megapixel main shooter, an 8-megapixel secondary snapper, and two 2-megapixel modules. One of these last modules may act as a depth sensor while the other is used for macro shooting.
The handset has a 4,200 mAh battery, a weight of 213 g and overall dimensions of 170 x 78.5 x 8.9 mm. Unfortunately, the chipset that delivers performance under the hood is still a mystery. However, we do know that it is an octa-core chipset with a 2.0 GHz clock. For this reason, the MediaTek Dimensity 800 SoC is a viable candidate. When it comes to the Honor Play 4 Pro, it comes with the Kirin 820 SoC. In addition, it will have Sony's IMX600y sensor, which is also used for the Honor X10, 40W quick charge, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
