Xiaomi announced its first e-book reader, the MiReader, last year. It was exclusive to China. It is now expected to be released worldwide under the name Mi Ebook Reader. The product was discovered in the Bluetooth SIG database. It received Bluetooth certification on July 23.
Certification shows that Xiaomi Mi Ebook Reader will connect via Bluetooth 5.0. The MiReader has a 6-inch e-ink display with a PPI of 221. There is also a 24-stage adjustable LED with front lighting so that owners can read in the dark. The device is powered by an Allwinner processor.
The MiReader has 1 GB RAM and 16 GB storage. It supports various file formats including Epub, PDF, DOC, XLS, TXT and PDF. Users can also download their own content from the page to the device.
