Huawei and its 5G efforts outside of China faced strong headwinds. And most of it comes back to the US government. The country after TSMC prevented from delivering Kirin SoCs is now after its 5G equipment in Brazil. As a result, a US diplomat in Brazil said that the Brazilian government could have ramifications if it uses Huawei devices in its 5G networks.
As reported by Reuters US Ambassador Todd Chapman was quoted as saying Globo said that Huawei would not be subject to retaliation as such. However, there could be certain consequences if the build-up of a 5G infrastructure with Huawei components is not undone. The United States had already said that China is not protecting intellectual property and is known to fight back people who give up their investments.
Why does the United States want to oust Huawei from Brazil?
Todd added Each country is responsible for what it does. He pointed out that the US government under Trump Development Finance Corp with a $ 60 billion fund to help them.
This funding would not only reduce China's influence worldwide, but also help companies build the infrastructure of trusted providers. Huawei currently has many competitors in 5G technology which include Samsung, Nokia and Ericsson.
Although the U.S. government is asking countries to stop using Huawei technology, citing their ties to the Chinese government, Huawei is constantly denying that it is not spying on anyone, including the Chinese government.
Will Brazil get 5G without Huawei?
When we consider Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro, the current president, has taken this into account. The opposite is true of China, even though the United States is an ally. This has already resulted in a large part of the 5G infrastructure hosting Huawei devices. The company had previously warned that it would take Brazil years to replace and deploy the 5G network if it matched the U.S. and banned its equipment.
Brazil could, however, through its Intl Finance Corp. Obtaining Funds from the United States The feasibility of this and the time frame for fanning out the entire infrastructure are still a mystery.
Huawei really sees itself as the backlash of western countries like Great Britain against the US between citing data theft and security reasons. The company has recently been banned for left, right and center. Huawei is one of the world's largest providers of 5G network devices.
There are only a handful of European countries like Germany, France, Ireland, Hungary, Sweden and Hungary. However, the recent indirect US threat to Brazil does not appear to fall back on Huawei so quickly.
